A 12V strip, 24V strip and addressable RGBIC strip may use different circuit groups. Standard constant-voltage strips often operate in repeated LED sections, while addressable products may depend on individual ICs or defined control segments.

For RGBIC products, cutting at the wrong position may interrupt both power and data transmission.
