Will 9V Work With 12V LED Strip Lights?

A 9V power supply may make some 12V led strip lights glow, but it is not the correct operating voltage and should not be used for a commercial installation. A 12V strip is designed around a 12V DC input. Supplying only 9V can result in lower brightness, unstable color output, poor controller performance, or sections that fail to illuminate normally.

What Happens When a 12V LED Strip Runs on 9V?
