When only part of an LED strip installation turns on, the fault is usually located after the last working section. Common causes include voltage drop, a damaged cutting segment, loose connectors, overloaded drivers or interrupted control signals. Checking the complete system in sequence is more effective than replacing every strip.

Voltage falls as current travels through PCB copper traces and cables. Longer runs and higher loads increase this effect, so the sections farthest from the power feed may remain dark or operate incorrectly. For low-voltage projects, additional power-feed points may be necessary.
